Jayson Tatum's Honest Statement After Blowout Loss vs. Clippers
© Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

In just their second loss at home all season, the Boston Celtics were dominated by the LA Clippers on Saturday night. Following the game, Celtics star Jayson Tatum shared his reaction to his team's uncharacteristic performance.

"We felt like we were getting good looks, we just didn't shoot the ball well," Tatum said. "Some of our possessions could have been better, but it was just a tough night for us. Unfortunately we kind of let our offense affect our defense and they got a lot of leak outs and easy ones in transition."

On not letting this game linger, Tatum said, "Just have short-term memory. It's nothing we can do to change it. Take it on the chin. We didn't play well, they deserved to win, and get ready for Monday."

Tatum praised Boston's bench for coming in and competing in the fourth quarter even with the game out of reach, which was the lone bright spot for the Celtics in an otherwise dreadful game. While Boston has been the best team in basketball this season, the Clippers have been the best team in basketball for the last two months, and showed Boston on Saturday night that they are right on their level.

This was an uncharacteristic showing from Boston, but it also showed how far the Clippers have come since their early-season struggles.
