While the Utah Jazz have spent much of the season at the bottom of the NBA standings, their G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, has been home to one of the league’s most dominant forces. Oscar Tshiebwe has turned heads with his relentless performances, establishing himself as an elite presence in the paint.
The 25-year-old center, known for his rebounding prowess at Kentucky, has continued to showcase his dominance at the professional level. Through the 2024-25 G League season, Tshiebwe is averaging 16.3 points, 18.3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.2 steals and one block per game. His 402 total rebounds lead the league by a wide margin, and his 8.4 offensive boards per contest highlight his ability to control the glass.
On Mar. 3, he made headlines with a monstrous 30-rebound performance in a win over the Iowa Wolves. Shortly after, on Mar. 14, he nearly recorded a quadruple-double, posting 22 points, 20 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals in a victory over the Texas Legends. His relentless energy on both ends has cemented him as one of the G League’s top performers this season.
Tshiebwe has also appeared in seven NBA games for the Jazz. On Mar. 2, he recorded a career-high 16-point, 13-rebound double-double against the New Orleans Pelicans. Within a span of 24 hours, he followed that performance with his 30-rebound game in the G League before being called back up to the Jazz later that evening—further proof of his commitment and work ethic.

After going undrafted in 2023, the 6-foot-8 big man signed a two-way deal with the Indiana Pacers. He quickly made an impact in the G League, earning Rookie of the Year honors after leading the league in rebounding and setting a new single-season record with 16.2 boards per game.
During his time with the Indiana Mad Ants, he recorded 27 double-doubles, seven 20-20 games and set franchise records for total rebounds in a season and a single game (28). He was named to both the All-G League First Team and the All-Rookie Team.
Now with the Jazz, Tshiebwe is once again proving he belongs at the highest level. If he continues on this trajectory, a permanent role in Utah’s rotation may not be far off.
