Jazz-Nuggets Injury Report: Ochai Agbaji Status Revealed
USA TODAY Sports

On Monday, the Utah Jazz hit the road to face the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena. The Jazz could be missing a key contributor when they suit up versus the defending champs.

Shooting guard Ochai Agbaji is listed as questionable with a knee contusion while Taylor Hendricks, Josh Christopher, Johnny Juzang, Michah Potter and Brice Sensabaugh are currently assigned to the Salt Lake City Stars. Also, according to ESPN, the Nuggets will be missing Vlatko Cancar (knee) and Jay Huff (ribs).

Utah will be looking to improve to 2-2 on the year, but it won’t be an easy task with the Nuggets being favored by 7.5 points.

However, despite being on the road the Jazz do catch a break heading into the contest. The Nuggets will be playing in their first back-to-back of the season as they played the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

This will be the second game of Utah’s two-game road trip before they come back home to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. The NBA schedulers did Utah no favors to start off the year. The first five opponents that Utah will face are projected playoff teams. The schedule does lighten up later this week starting with a home game versus the Orlando Magic.

Utah will have some work to do if they’re going to prove the naysayers wrong. The oddsmakers had Utah pegged for 35 wins this season. The jury may still be out, but getting blown out in two of their first three games is a trend Utah will be looking to turn around against Denver. Head coach Will Hardy is still experimenting with his rotation, so Jazz fans can expect more trial and error tonight versus Denver. The tip-off is at 7:00 MST.
