Jazz Sending Collin Sexton to Hornets, Getting Jusuf Nurkic in Return

The Jazz are making an early splash ahead of free agency.

Utah is trading guard Collin Sexton and a 2031 second-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for veteran center Jusuf Nurkic, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Sexton, 26, averaged 18.4 points and 4.2 assists last season, but had been mentioned in trade chatter for weeks. Nurkic gives the Jazz a physical presence in the middle after spending last season with Charlotte and Phoenix.
