Jayson Tatum is about to start a new season with the Boston Celtics, trying to compete with a team that made several changes during the offseason. The Celtics aren't seen as contenders in the Eastern Conference, but having Tatum and Jaylen Brown on the roster assures that their future will be bright.

JT is expected to lead this team in the East given all the quality he's shown in his first years with the franchise. Now, it's time to level up and demonstrate he can be one of the best players in the league.

This summer, the player 23-year-old joined Team USA in the Summer Olympics, grabbing the gold medal against France in the final game. That experience certainly marked Tatum and he will use all that knowledge to carry his team.

One of his teammates in the Tokyo tournament, Jerami Grant, recently stated that playing alongside Kevin Durant will be incredibly beneficial for the forward.

“Jayson was great. Obviously, we watched him grow into being even a better player while he was there. His confidence was growing while he was there,” Grant told The Undefeated. “Being under KD, he pushed the confidence out of him to be on that stage and do what he was doing. He is one of the best talents in the league.”

This is terrific news for the Celtics. They know they have a future superstar in Tatum, and learning from great names like Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant will surely help him improve his level.

The Celtics won't compete this year, but this team has a solid core that can make some noise in the future. Tatum is expected to do big things in his career and this season, without expectations around the team, he can take his game to the next level.
