The Golden State Warriors have not only found great form with the arrival of Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline, but they've sustained that level of play.

They look to do so on Saturday as they play a 35-28 Detroit Pistons team -- one which is also finding their stride this season.

Stephen Curry's play has elevated as the Warriors have a 10-1 record with Butler in the lineup. The same can be said for the rest of the lineup, too.

Now with a 35-28 record in the Western Conference, the Warriors have found themselves with the No. 6 seed, which has been quite the turn.

While Golden State has been able to ascend the West standings since making the groundbreaking deal, they've done it without one of their rising stars.

Over two months ago, Jonathan Kuminga suffered an ankle injury while playing at the best form of his career.

In a career season, the injury couldn't have come at a worse time for the G League Ignite product.

However, two months after the injury, Kuminga's return should be on the horizon, and he will be slotted into a red-hot lineup, looking to make an additional positive impact.

Kuminga's injury status before Warriors-Pistons

Ahead of a matchup against the Detroit Pistons in the Bay Area, it was thought Kuminga would be ready to play. That hasn't been the case.

The Athletic's Anthony Slater revealed on Friday night that he is listed as out for the contest.

"Brandin Podziemski is questionable tomorrow vs Pistons with lower back soreness. Jonathan Kuminga remains out to begin the homestand," Slater reported.

Golden State head coach Steve Kerr listed Brandin Podziemski's injury as day-to-day, so a questionable tag isn't all that covering.

For Kuminga, remaining out is a bit more of an issue. Again, it was thought that he'd be back by now. Then it was pushed to the start of the homestand.

The club wants to be 100% sure Kuminga is ready to go, and they are doing exactly that.
