JR Smith makes huge blunder at end of Game 1

JR Smith made a huge blunder at the end of Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.

George Hill was at the free throw line for the Cleveland Cavaliers and made one of his free throws to tie the game at 107. He then missed his next free throw, and Smith got the offensive rebound. But instead of trying to put up a shot to break the tie with the Golden State Warriors, he dribbled out the clock.

The only seeming explanation is that Smith did not know the score of the game.

LeBron James was livid with Smith for the mental mistake. Smith could be seen mouthing to James that he thought the team was ahead. Of course, this is nothing new for Smith, who doesn’t often do the smartest thing.
