The Boston Celtics reminded the basketball world why they're defending champions in Saturday's 115-93 drubbing of the New York Knicks. However, they're still down 2-1 in the series thanks to their losses in both Games 1 and 2.

The Celtics have been reliable defensively, partially due to three-time All-Defensive First Teamer Jrue Holiday's performance on the perimeter. The 34-year-old kept Jalen Brunson in check during Game 2, as the Knicks' star totaled just 17 points (6-19 FG, 2-9 3 PT).

However, their offense was the problem in both losses. They shot 25-100 from deep across the first two games, but they improved to 20-40 in Game 3.

Now, Boston could get a boost with Sam Hauser's (ankle) possible return. Holiday sounded off about it before Game 4 on Monday, via SB Nation's Noa Dalzell.

"It'd be huge," the two-time NBA champion said. "Obviously he's a three-point shooter; he spaces the floor."

Hauser is listed as "questionable" for Monday after being "doubtful" for the previous two games, via Locked On Celtics' John Karalis. The 27-year-old missed both of those contests.

Hauser played just four minutes in Game 1, but averaged 8.5 points on 45.1 percent shooting (41.6 percent 3 PT) with 3.2 rebounds in the regular season. The Virginia alum also scored 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 3 PT) with two rebounds in Boston's 102-89 win over the Orlando Magic in Game 5 of the first round, which clinched the series.

After Monday's affair at Madison Square Garden, the two teams will return to TD Garden for Game 5.
