Jusuf Nurkic had hilarious profane comment on playing with star Suns trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal

One of the newest members of the Phoenix Suns following the team’s role in the trade that sent Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks is former Portland Trail Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic. The 29-year-old held down the starting center role in Portland for the bulk of his tenure with the franchise, after the organization acquired him via trade from the Denver Nuggets in the 2016-17 season.

This means Nurkic spent a whole lot of time playing alongside one of the NBA’s most talented players in Lillard. But based on his comments after getting practice time in with his new Suns teammates, specifically the trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, Nurkic sounded more than a bit giddy about the amount of talent surrounding him.

In a profane comment of what it was like sharing the floor with those three, Nurkic had two words to sum it all up, as Duane Rankin of of Arizona Central revealed.

“I’m coming down the floor and Devin Booker has the ball and I’m running and playing pick-and-roll with D-Book and out of the corner I got KD and Bradley Beal, I’m saying, ‘God d---, man. It’s kind of crazy when you think about it,” Nurkic told Rankin.

It’s tough to even begin to imagine what it felt like for Nurkic to be out there and surrounded by the Suns’ new “Big Three.” While the 7-foot big man may take more of a frequent backseat on offense in Phoenix this season, it’s also highly unlikely he’ll face a ton of help defense. And for a player who’s shot north of 50 percent from the field in each of the past three seasons and six of the previous seven years, that has to be an incredibly appealing outlook.
