There's no doubt that LeBron James breaking the scoring record will be a huge moment in NBA history, and it is clear that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is going to be happy if it were to happen. LeBron James' longevity is unprecedented, and it shows in his ability to potentially break this longstanding record. 

The Los Angeles Lakers were disappointing last season despite LeBron James' individual brilliance, but perhaps we see that change next season. Darvin Ham was brought in to be the new head coach after the team let Frank Vogel go, and perhaps he can help them get back to a "defense-first" mentality and make sure LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook can coexist. Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Lakers get back to the playoffs next year, and there's no doubt that everyone in the franchise will do everything in their power to make that happen.
