The New Balance KAWHI IV “Grey Days” will feature a completely re-imagined structure of materials far from what the typical basketball sneaker is accustomed to. The shoes will feature a wide-range of suedes, nubucks, and mesh materials all throughout the upper, typical of what one would see on a classic “MADE IN THE USA/UK” New Balance sneaker. The shoes are featured in multiple shades of New Balance’s classic grey color scheme, making these immediately identifiable as the brand’s own.

The shoes will also feature an aged-white midsole, made to represent that of a worn-in New Balance sneaker. The subtle red “NB” logos are a further nod to classic silhouettes and the “Kawhi” inscription on the heel matches along. The shoes are finished with a black outsole and classic white laces.

When alluding to the Grey Days celebration and sneakers, New Balance CMO Chris Davis said “It also recognizes the ubiquity of the color Grey, appealing to people everywhere from supermodels in London, to dads in Ohio, to sneaker connoisseurs in Tokyo. Grey is a color for all that represents authenticity, versatility, and timelessness, carrying our heritage into the future.”

The New Balance KAWHI IV “Slate Grey/Angora” is currently available on New Balance for $165 in select sizes and while supplies last. There may be another wider release on the way in the coming days, but for now, it’s best to grab these while you still can. It’s unknown how limited this run will be and whether or not New Balance will restock these in the future. For now, this may be the best Kawhi Leonard IV we’ve seen thus far.
