Kendrick Perkins Issues Serious Warning to Thunder After Lakers Game

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday by a final score of 126-99. It was a shocking win since the Thunder have the best record in the NBA and came into Sunday with only five losses at home.

Former Thunder center and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins is concerned by what he saw from OKC against the Lakers on Sunday. The one-time NBA champion took to social media and issued a serious warning to the Thunder.

"Lakers got big homie energy over OKC," Perkins said. "OKC need to get over that (expletive) asap."

The Thunder have lost two games in a row for just the second time this season. They host the Lakers again on Tuesday.

OKC is 1-1 against Los Angeles this season. Mark Daigneault's group had no answers for Lakers superstar Luka Doncic on Sunday. The former Dallas Mavericks guard put up 30 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

The Thunder lost to Doncic and the Mavericks in the second round of the 2024 playoffs in six games. Doncic averaged 24.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 8.7 assists in that series. The All-Star is clearly comfortable playing against OKC.

It will be fascinating to see how the Thunder fair against the Lakers on Tuesday.

OKC hasn't lost three games in a row all season.
