The Toronto Raptors have become one of the hottest teams in the NBA.
After the Toronto Raptors started the season 1-4, they have bounced back in a big way, winning 9 out of their last 10 games.
The Toronto Raptors are 10-5, have won 5 games in a row and sit in second place in the Eastern Conference.
Before the season started, many people didn’t even have the Raptors in a play-in spot, let alone in a playoff spot. It’s still early, but the Raptors are proving this NBA analyst right so far.
Back in late June, Kendrick Perkins put out a video on X directed at Bill Simmons after Simmons came at Perkins for his Raptors take.
Perkins said that he thought the Raptors were going to be a top-6 seed in the East for the 2025-26 season.
Simmons then responded to Perkins’ video saying: “If you actually think Toronto will be top-6 in the East in anything other than “most fun place to visit” — let’s wager on it ASAP.”
So far, Perkins’ prediction is looking good. The Raptors have looked like a team that is destined to make the playoffs this season.
I’m honored that you sat in a car for 2+ minutes to scold me on your iPhone like this, even though we are a combined age of like 92.

If you actually think Toronto will be top-6 in the East in anything other than “most fun place to visit” — let’s wager on it ASAP.
After beating the Philadelphia 76ers, the team that handed the Raptors their only loss over their last 10 games, the Raptors will return home for four straight.
The Raptors’ upcoming schedule is very lenient and they can continue to build on their 10-5 record.
Toronto will take on the: Washington Wizards, Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers who they have beaten twice already and the Indiana Pacers before heading on the road to take on the Charlotte Hornets.
Those are all winnable games as the Raptors have a great chance to continue to extend their second place spot in the East and even contend for the No. 1 spot currently held by the Detroit Pistons.
