Kendrick Perkins Slams Zion Williamson: 'You Can’t Depend On Him'

The New Orleans Pelicans appeared to be on top of the NBA world when they won 2019 NBA Draft Lottery, securing the right to draft Zion Williamson.

Six years of injury woes later, Williamson has yet to play a single playoff game. Former NBA veteran Kendrick Perkins recently called out Williamson in a less-than-gentle way.

“This is less about Willie Green being fired and more about how Zion Williamson is a culture killer, an organization killer. Zion has completely fu-ked this organization since they drafted him, top to bottom,” Perkins said. “You can’t depend on him.”

He also believes that the Pelicans should move on from Williamson completely, either through a trade or by waiving him.

“What are you going to do with him? Like, they could waive him, they could trade him. What is his trade market? I think they should move on from Zion.”

The Pelicans are just 2-13 on the season and Williamson has already missed eight games. While the team has remained quiet on the subject, time will tell if their trust wears thin.
