The Cleveland Cavaliers picked up a solid 115–101 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, but one of the most entertaining moments from the game came afterward. Guard Keon Ellis’ brutally honest postgame response went viral during an interview with Cavaliers reporter Serena Winters.

When asked what the biggest difference was between the first and second quarters, Ellis didn’t try to dress up his answer.

“Honestly, I really couldn’t tell you,” he said.

The brutally honest reply went viral, and the clip quickly spread on social media. However, Keon Ellis later joined in on the fun himself. When the clip was reposted online, the Cavaliers guard dropped a comment that perfectly summed up his mindset on the court.

“Man I just be out there trying to make plays,” Ellis wrote.

With all jokes aside, coming off the bench, he finished with 19 points and knocked down four three-pointers to help Cleveland control the game. Additionally, James Harden led the Cavaliers with 21 points, reaching another major milestone in the process by surpassing 29,000 career points.

Donovan Mitchell added 17 points and six assists, while Evan Mobley contributed 15 points and eight rebounds.

Keon Ellis played a key role in the early stages of the game, scoring 14 of his points in the first half and hitting multiple three-pointers as Cleveland built a comfortable lead heading into halftime.

The win helped the Cavaliers continue their strong stretch at home. They have now won eight of their last nine home games and sit firmly in the playoff race in the Eastern Conference.

The Cleveland Cavaliers’ decision to move on from De’Andre Hunter at the trade deadline looked uncertain at first. But Keon Ellis has quickly shown why the move may have been the right call.

Hunter was originally brought in to add size, defense, and shooting on the wing, but injuries and inconsistent play limited his impact. His struggles carried into the following season, eventually prompting Cleveland to pivot and send him to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Dennis Schroder and Ellis.

Since arriving in Cleveland, Keon Ellis has made an immediate impact with his defensive intensity. In his first 11 games with the Cavaliers, he recorded 19 steals and 15 blocks, quickly becoming one of the team’s most disruptive defenders.

His energy on that end of the floor has helped the team regain momentum. The Cavaliers have gone 15–4 in their last 19 games, climbing back into the top four of the Eastern Conference. For a player earning just $2.3 million this season, Keon Ellis has delivered tremendous value.
