Keon Johnson Among Several Players Waived Thursday

In addition to Johni Broome (Clippers) and AJ Hoggard (Raptors), 10 other players were waived by their respective teams on Thursday, according to the official transactions log at NBA.com.

Here are the other players who were released:

• Payton Sandfort (Timberwolves)
• Nate Santos (Timberwolves)
• Keylan Boone (Trail Blazers)
• Barry Dunning (Trail Blazers)
• Mark Sears (Trail Blazers)
• Miles Barnstable (Spurs)
• Ibrahima Diallo (Jazz)
• Justin Harmon (Jazz)

All 10 players likely signed Exhibit 10 contracts. Now that they’ve been waived, they should be on track to earn a bonus worth up to $91K on top of their typical G League salary if they spend at least 60 days with their respective teams’ NBAGL affiliates.

Johnson, who signed with Atlanta on Wednesday, is the most noteworthy name of the group for NBA fans. The 2021 first-round pick played for the Clippers, Trail Blazers and Nets from 2021-25. The high-flying guard spent last season in the G League with the Maine Celtics, but he could be suiting up for the College Park Skyhawks in 2026/27.

Sandfort and Sears are the other players from the group above who have NBA experience. Both made their debuts last season while on two-way contracts with the Thunder and Bucks, respectively.
