Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant addressed the latest drama surrounding alleged comments he made about his teammates on supposed burner accounts.
The alleged Durant posts went viral over All-Star Weekend and featured burner accounts purportedly linked to Durant sharply criticizing current and former teammates in private chats. The messages were unverified, but spread quickly on social media.
Inevitably, Durant was asked about the posts on Wednesday, and he refused to indulge the subject.
“I know you’ve gotta ask these questions, but I’m not here to get into Twitter nonsense,” Durant told reporters. “My teammates know what it is. We’ve been locked in the whole season.”

Part of the reason the allegations gained such traction is because we know Durant has used burner accounts to defend himself before. He’s also been known to jump into social media conversations about himself even on his main account.
In this instance, Durant appears unwilling to give the claims any more credibility. It does not help that the purported posts feature him talking negatively about current teammates like Alperen Sengun as opposed to situations from his past. He would have some very awkward explaining to do if these posts are legitimate.
