Kevin Durant is back at it again. The superstar, long known for getting into arguments with random people on social media, got into a spat Wednesday on Twitter with a couple of critics over his decision to spurn the New York Knicks and sign with the Brooklyn Nets.
The Twitter beefs occurred between Durant and radio host Brandon Tierney, along with one with a random fan from Lexington, Ky.
Durant mostly engaged with Tierney, but the crux of both critics’ arguments is that amid a seven-game losing streak, the Nets are irrelevant and that the star should have signed with the Knicks.
What does it say?

Being relevant in the eyes of fans doesn’t make the ball go in the basket. So it really doesn’t matter but go ahead and claim something

Tierney went on to attack Durant by claiming he probably didn’t have what it takes to play in Madison Square Garden anyway.
Nothing but respect for your game, but the reality is simple: the Mecca had your name all over it, and you passed up the shot. I’m from BK, it’s in my blood. But NYC is ALL about the Knicks. And always will be.

At least @carmeloanthony got in the batter’s box. Took a swing. https://t.co/9mU91UPs6N
I want players who want the Garden. Want the challenge. Nothing less, nothing more. Get healthy bro, @nba much better when you’re playing. https://t.co/TtWWYxtLbo

Durant then arose Thursday morning and continued beefing with Tierney and also spent some time replying to tweets from random fans.
You’re welcome. A net got u some much needed attention this morning! Enjoy

You’re showing some sensitivity right now.

When someone retweets and puts your @ in it. U can see it. Pretty simple and we both know why BT posted those photos. Cuz of me Lol. Relax bro, it’s really not that big of a deal

As noted, this is not the first time Durant has taken to Twitter to defend his decision to sign with the Nets. This includes the time he brilliantly shaded rapper Fat Joe in an argument over that very topic.
Durant, who won’t play for the Nets this season as he rehabs an Achilles injury, has insisted on multiple occasions that his free-agency decision was “nothing major” against the Knicks.
All that said, while it certainly appears that Knicks fans cannot get over Durant choosing the Nets, the case can be made the social media-sensitive superstar is at times incapable of allowing their slights to go ignored.
