Chris Paul has been one of the NBA's elite point guards since joining the league, but does he have a strong enough résumé to make it into the Hall of Fame when his career is done? Kevin Durant certainly thinks so, as he challenged rapper Maxxkii after suggesting CP3 would need a ring as the final cherry on his Hall of Fame sundae.
A post from top.ball.coverage discussed rumors of Paul wanting to head to Los Angeles or New York if he is traded from Oklahoma City, and Maxxkii said he should go to the Lakers because "he deserves a chance at a ring. Only thing keeping him from the Hall of Fame convo." Durant, who knows a thing or two about rings, couldn't help but chime in.
"Chris Paul in the Hall of Fame already," Durant commented.

Now, on a technical level, Durant is wrong, since players can't be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame until they are done playing. But the sentiment of what Durant is saying is absolutely true. Paul is not just a good point guard; he's one of the best to ever play the position, with some even arguing he is the best ever to play the position.
And while he may not have a championship, plenty of elite players have made the Hall of Fame without a ring, including Steve Nash and John Stockton, two of the best point guards of all time. The idea that Paul will have any trouble making it to Springfield is, honestly, a little ridiculous. That being said, there's no question that helping a team like the Lakers win another championship would help solidify his already stellar legacy.
