PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant had to be helped to the locker room with what appeared to be a left ankle injury with 6:57 left in the third quarter of their Sunday night matchup against the Houston Rockets.
KD is down. The season that was in critical condition is officially dead.

Durant played just 22 minutes before the injury and put up 11 points and eight rebounds on 5-of-11 shooting.
The All-Star forward hasn’t missed a game since early February, where he missed three-straight games. He has played 61 games this season and, since he played more than 20 minutes, will notch his 62nd against the Rockets, three shy of being eligible for end-of-season NBA award honors.
This injury may well be the final nail in the coffin for what has been a disastrous 2024-25 Phoenix campaign.
