Kevin Durant hilariously trolls Mavericks' Grant Williams after altercation

If the basketball gods truly exist, we'd be treated to a Phoenix Suns versus Dallas Mavericks playoff series in a few months.

It became increasingly evident Wednesday night that neither the Suns players nor the fans have gotten over their upset loss to the Mavs in the 2021-22 playoffs.

Besides that one fan who trash-talked his way out of the game for chirping at Luka Doncic, the players got a tad too chippy for a regular-season game.

Early in the first quarter, a brawl broke out after an incident that was instigated by Grant Williams, who stood over Kevin Durant and stared at him after tripping him over while setting a screen. Thereafter, Jusuf Nurkic would shove Williams and start a scuffle between the rival teams.

The drama would ensue into the third quarter with Williams getting ejected for picking up his second technical foul, which he received for barking at the referee over a regular foul.

After the Suns' 132-109 win, Durant had every incentive to troll Williams via social media, doing so by posting a picture of himself pointing at Williams next to the infamous "woman yelling at cat" meme — a scene from "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

One can draw at least two conclusions from Durant’s post — he was yelling at his cat, or he felt the Suns and Mavs players were acting like a bunch of Karens.

Devin Booker called out Williams for wanting to focus on "antics" rather than basketball, too.

"He wants to do the antics, man," Booker said of Williams. "We're out there trying to hoop. So big props to Nurk for holding that down. If I would've seen that, I would do the same thing. That’s how we get down. We're not with the nonsense," said Booker, via ClutchPoints

Booker was involved in some drama of his own in the fourth quarter, yelling something at Doncic, who was upset at the officials for not receiving a foul call.

Again, here’s hoping the basketball gods come through and give us this playoff rematch.
