Kevin Durant Is The Only Player In NBA History To Put Up 20 PPG In The Finals On 50/40/90 Splits, With A Minimum Of 10 Games Played
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Durant is insanely efficient in the Finals.

Kevin Durant is one of the best scorers to have ever played the game, and there is no doubt that he's a top-tier superstar in the league today. Durant is capable of creating his shot in isolation against every single defender in the league and is proficient at scoring from every area offensively. This past season, Kevin Durant averaged 29.9 PPG, 7.4 RPG, and 6.4 APG for the Brooklyn Nets.

During his career, Kevin Durant has made multiple appearances in the Finals while also winning two championships. He is known as an elite Finals performer, and a recent stat shows just how elite Durant was on the highest stage.

Twitter page StatMuse has recently revealed that Kevin Durant is the only player in NBA history to average at least 20 PPG while shooting 50% from the field, 40% from the 3PT range, and 90% from the FT line. The post also noted that Kevin Durant actually averages 30.3 PPG on those splits in the Finals.

It is clear that Kevin Durant is an all-time great performer on the Finals stage, and there's a reason that he won two Finals MVP awards during his time with the Golden State Warriors.

Kevin Durant Is Ready To Start The Season With The Brooklyn Nets

The biggest story of the offseason was obviously Kevin Durant requesting a trade away from the Brooklyn Nets. However, the team was unable to find a suitable trade for the superstar, which resulted in him entering the season with the franchise.

Kevin Durant has recently explained why he decided to stay with the Brooklyn Nets in the end, rather than continuing to push for a trade. He admitted that he still "wanted to be" with the Nets, and added that the franchise has put together "a good team".

"I felt like we had a good team. I felt like this is the place I said I wanted to be. We started to set something up in the future to be a solid team. So to be honest I thought this was still a great option, too."

Hopefully, we will see Kevin Durant have a productive year with the Brooklyn Nets. They definitely have the talent and the depth to be a true contender in the Eastern Conference.

If the Brooklyn Nets do end up reaching the Finals, they will need Kevin Durant to perform at a high level to win. Based on the statistic previously mentioned, it is quite likely that Durant will be an efficient assassin on that stage if the Nets manage to get there.
