Kevin Durant has had quite an offseason. Turns out, he's staying with the Brooklyn Nets and he and Kyrie Irving are going to give their experiment one more go-'round.
One would think that focus will be paramount for the Nets as they look to do battle if a tough NBA Eastern Conference this upcoming season, and perhaps that focus will come. In the meantime, though, Durant seems to be taking his aggression out on the game developers of the new NBA 2K23 game.
Aye @Ronnie2K I’m gonna need an explanation on why I’m not a 99? This has become laughable https://t.co/oySQUtcDP2

To be fair, is there an actual difference in gameplay between a 96 and a 99?
With that in mind, it's certainly a pride thing for Durant at this point, and Ronnie DK did at least Tweet the sharp-shooter back to placate that part of his game.
I am petitioning for us to remove MJ on the cover and replacing with you the real 99 https://t.co/hzXzHhU04X

It's also worth noting that nobody was rated a 99 in this game, and Durant is only behind Giannis Antetokounmpo (97) in the ratings while he's tied with just LeBron James, Joel Embiid, Steph Curry, and Nikola Jokic at 96 — which is not half-bad company, to say the least.
