The Phoenix Suns are just beginning on what should be an eventful offseason.
This is far from the position fans hoped the Suns would be in. After being swept from the playoffs last season by the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Suns failed to improve upon the season.
Instead, they went 36-46 and finished as the No. 11 seed in the Western Conference.
The Suns have already been quite active this offseason. They fired head coach Mike Budenholzer after the disappointing season. They were also active in the front office, moving James Jones into a senior advisory role and installing Brian Gregory as the new general manager.
With the new general manager in place, they can now make personnel changes to both the coaching staff and the roster.
One trade rumor that has circulated is the possibility of Kevin Durant heading to San Antonio, according to Shams Charania on the Pat McAfee show.
Fans were quick to react, and so was Durant.
"Would be the fifth franchise [Kevin Durant] joins. Can't be a top 15 player all time if you've played for five franchises. Winners build dynasties. They don't jump ship every time there's a sign of a struggle," wrote one fan on X.com.
As we've come to know Durant, he's not afraid to share his opinions and respond to others. This was no exception.
"Like I always say! Make your own rules up and curate this nba fantasy world the way u want. Enjoy that top 15 list," Durant said in response to the fan's post.

This decision likely wouldn't be up to Durant. While the Suns may solicit his input on precisely where he'd want to go, the Suns' hypothetical trading of Durant would likely be more about recouping assets the Suns gave up over the years to acquire players like Durant and Bradley Beal.
If Durant is going to be this vocal during the process, however, it'll make for quite the entertaining summer as this goes step-by-step.
