Kevin Durant Makes Bold Statement About Nuggets Superstar Nikola Jokic

Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns played the part of grinches on NBA Christmas Day for the Denver Nuggets. They stole a 110-100 victory from under the tree of the Nuggets.

However, Durant was not completely mean-spirited after the battle between these two sides. In the post-game interview that followed the conclusion of this contest, the Suns superstar offered a massive parting gift to Jokic in the shape of some extremely kind words.

When discussing the challenge of Phoenix getting back into the win column against a tough Denver team, Durant dropped the following nugget of big-time praise.

"We weathered the storm all night," Durant explained in the interview. "They're a physical team. They got arguably the best player in the world and top-ten player of all time in Jokic."

Being referred to as the best player in the world is surely nothing new to Jokic. However, being called a top-ten player of all time is not something that feels as conventional for the big man from Serbia.

Durant's statement does offer a moment for reflection about just how great this dominant run has been for the Joker. It may feel like an uncomfortable conversation for some to have, but Jokic has certainly forced his way into these types of discussions by now.

The Nuggets superstar is well on his way to securing the fourth MVP of his career, and more impressively, his fourth in the last five years. Should he achieve this feat, Jokic will become one of only six players in NBA history to have won at least four.

Jokic's all-around skill is one of the first things that comes to mind when one thinks of the Serbian superstar. He already ranks among the top three when it comes to all-time triple-doubles. There should be an opportunity for him to at least contest for the top spot on that list one day.

The championship run for the Nuggets in 2023 was as impressive as any. Jokic was the driving force, and then some, for Denver winning their only title in franchise history.

There is a bountiful amount of impressive feats that one could list off for the Joker. The crazy part about it all is that he is still only 29 years old. There remains plenty of room for him to pad what will surely be an all-time resume.
