Stephen Curry is the king of the 3-point shot. That fact is well known. However, one other player in the modern era, James Harden, continues to fly under the radar as an all-time great shooter from beyond the arc. However, Kevin Durant believes The Beard's work ethic has put him in the position he holds today.

Curry, Klay Thompson, Damian Lillard, Trae Young, and others of the sort are typically the names one hears associated with bombing treys. Harden's lethal triple, that would often include a step-back, quietly placed him among the best of the best in that department.

Harden currently occupies the second spot on the NBA's list for all-time made 3-point shots. After accomplishing the feat, the former MVP made sure to shout out two players with whom his NBA journey started, Durant and Russell Westbrook.

The Suns superstar was recently asked by Sports Illustrated beat writer Joey Linn about the mention from Harden. Durant had a lot to say.

"I heard that. James had a routine and a knack for just loving to get in the gym already when he got to us. It was like Voltron was formed when we all got together. As far as trying to get better, always being in the gym with one another, challenging each other to be better. And then transferring that over to the floor during games. The great ones can put the work in and still have that mindset… James was always like that. Such a great teammate that he wanna give us credit, but I feel like he was born with that ability to just keep getting better. His love for the game is something he built over time. It’s always fun getting to play against him and hangout with him. I love him like a brother."

-Kevin Durant

The Suns All-Star trails Harden by a fair bit on the all-time 3-point list. The Los Angeles Clippers star possesses 3064 at his secondary position to Curry. Durant should have time to rise from his spot at 15, with 2111 3-pointers made. However, this category will likely always favor his NBA brother.
