Kevin Durant Wants To Finish Career With Suns: ‘I Wanna Go Up In That Ring Of Honor One Day’
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Kevin Durant told Malika Andrews of ESPN that he wants to finish his NBA career with the Phoenix Suns

Durant wants to be part of the Suns’ ring of honor one day.

Durant, 35, is under contract through the 2025-26 season. He requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets last season and was traded to the Suns on February 9, 2023.

A 14-time All-Star, Durant is averaging 27.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.3 blocks with the Suns while shooting 53.8% from the field, 44.3% from beyond the arc and 85.8% from the free-throw line.

The Suns lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the 2023 playoffs in six games. Durant and Co. are in eighth place in the Western Conference standings this season with a record of 33-24. If the season ended today, Phoenix would be in the play-in tournament.

One of the greatest players in NBA history, Durant is averaging 28.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.3 blocks this season while shooting 53.3% overall, 42.9% from 3 and 86.1% from the foul line. He’s eighth in the league in total points and fifth in points per game.

Durant has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Nets and Suns. It will be interesting to see if Phoenix is the last team he suits up for.

A two-time Finals MVP, Durant has career averages of 27.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists. He’s sixth in NBA history in points per game and 11th in points.
