Kevin Porter Jr. is picking up his $5.4MM player option to remain with the Bucks next season, Michael Scotto reports for HoopsHype (Twitter link).

Porter played 38 games for Milwaukee last season while dealing with a knee injury, after coming over from the Clippers in a mid-season trade during the 2024/25 season.

The 26-year-old lefty guard averaged 17.4 points, 7.4 assists, and 2.2 steals last season while starting 36 games. The Bucks have a number of guards, including Ryan Rollins, the newly-acquired Tyler Herro and Kasparas Jakucionis, and Brayden Burries, who they drafted 10th overall on Tuesday, but Porter offers a slightly different skillset than the rest of the group as an athletic slasher with a creative handle and a shaky jumpshot.

Milwaukee is still waiting to see whether Taurean Prince and Gary Trent Jr. will pick up their $3.8MM player options.
