Kia to be sponsors of 2016 NBA All-Star uniforms

It appears we will see a sponsor on an NBA uniform in 2016. Well, at least for one game.

For the 2016 NBA All-Star Game in Toronto, the NBA will have Kia Motors as a sponsor on the All-Star game jerseys:

The move shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, as the NBA has been discussing for years now as to how to add sponsors to the uniforms of all 30 NBA teams. The NBA's desire to add sponsors to uniforms has lead to the rise the short sleeved jersey's that all 30 NBA teams feature at at least one point during the regular season. Many NBA fans detest the short-sleeve uniforms.

The 2016 All-Star Game will mark the first time in history that one of the four major North American sports will have a sponsor on one of their uniforms.

And whether NBA fans like it or not, sponsors on all NBA uniforms may be a reality sooner than later.
