The Sacramento Kings have acquired center Jonas Valanciunas in a deal with the Washington Wizards ahead of the NBA trade deadline, per Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
In exchange, the Wizards will receive Sidy Cissoko and two second-round draft picks, added Shams Charania of ESPN.
Washington reportedly had been seeking a new home for Valanciunas, who was also drawing interest from the Los Angeles Lakers and others.
Instead, the Kings got the deal done, reshaping the roster after trading De’Aaron Fox to the San Antonio Spurs and landing Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls earlier this week.
It's two second-round picks to Washington for Jonas Valanciunas, sources said. Denver was very much involved in pursuing the big man from the Wizards, as were the Suns in Phoenix's efforts to find a new home for Jusuf Nurkic. https://t.co/iWaPS9dvz7
