Kings' De'Aaron Fox dismisses Clippers' pickup of Russell Westbrook

Sacramento Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox shared some poignant thoughts on the Los Angeles Clippers' recent acquisition of Russell Westbrook after defeating the division rival Friday night in the second-highest-scoring game in NBA history.

"I don't give a f--- who's over there," Fox told reporters

Waived early this month, Westbrook grabbed headlines again this week, staying in LA after agreeing to a contract with the Clippers. However, Fox could care less about the frenzy surrounding the Clippers and Westbrook while he and the Kings continue to lead the Pacific Division standings.

"There's a lot of talented teams, obviously he added talent to this team," Fox said. "But we come in, we worry about us."

Fellow Kings' guard Malik Monk also chimed in to back up his teammate, saying, "We here too though, we coming at everybody."

The duo's emphatic response postgame was justified. After dropping a combined 87 points between them in the victory, fielding questions about Westbrook had to be quite frustrating.

Regardless, the Fox and the Kings have bragging rights, for now. However, the two sides will get reacquainted soon, as the Kings and Clippers will match up again on March 3 in Sacramento.

The race to the postseason is bound to come down to the wire, especially in the Kings-led Pacific. At 34-25, the Kings lead the division by two games over the Phoenix Suns (33-28) and 2.5 game lead over the Clippers.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors (30-30) are 4.5 games out of first, and Westbrook's former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, trail the Kings by 6.5 games.
