Kings' Dennis Schroder Involved in Fan Incident Against Cavaliers

A courtside seat in an NBA game is always going to be a luxury, but it also comes with some danger. 

One unfortunate fan learned that the hard way on Friday night during a game between the Sacramento Kings and the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland.

With seconds remaining in the second quarter,  Sacramento guard Schroder tried to break up a pass near the sidelines and landed hard on a woman sitting courtside. It appeared that he inadvertently hit the woman in the head with his elbow as he was trying to break his fall.

The woman was in pain after the collision, grabbing her head as Schroder tried to check on her. 

She did not seem to be seriously hurt, but the fan was clearly shaken. 

Cavaliers star guard Donovan Mitchell also came over to make sure that she was fine.

The unfortunate incident sparked has surely sparked lots of reactions from fans online.

"These court side seats are way too close," said a fan on X.

Another one joked: "Dude probably thought it was Luka ”

From a commenter: "Court side seats suddenly feeling too close for comfort ”

“He's a good person taking the time to make sure she's okay ❤️❤️❤️,” a social media user posted.

Via a concerned commenter: “Damn that looked painful Hope she’s okay and recovers quick ”

Said another: “Oof that’s scary hope she’s alright, courtside moments get intense fast.”

As for the game itself, the Cavaliers came away with a 123-118 victory, with Mitchell pacing Cleveland with 33 points.

Schroder wasn't too shabby with 21 points off the bench, but the Kings leave Cleveland with their 34th loss of the season.
