The Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks are interested in Ben Simmons, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.
Simmons is an unrestricted free agent. He played for the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers last season.
“For Ben Simmons, the two teams we’re hearing for him still in the mix are Sacramento New York,” Fischer said. “We’re still anticipating the Kings to be bringing in another veteran guard and Ben Simmons is on that list of potential targets, in addition to Russell Westbrook to Malcolm Brogdon.”
Simmons averaged 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists last season for the Nets and Clippers while shooting 52.0% from the field and 72.7% from the free-throw line.
Simmons was the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He has experienced a huge fall from grace. The lefty has played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Nets and Clippers, compiling career averages of 13.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists.
