The Kings have waived guard Adam Flagler, opening a two-way roster spot ahead of the regular season, the team announced, via James Ham.

Flagler signed with Sacramento in July but saw little action during the preseason, appearing in two games and averaging 4.6 minutes. Jonathan Mogbo and Leaky Black hold the Kings’ other two-way contracts, with Black recently earning a promotion from his Exhibit 10 deal.

Flagler, 26, struggled to find his shot during Summer League. He averaged 6.3 points, 2.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in seven appearances, shooting 31.9 percent from the field and 19 percent from three.

The 6-foot-1 guard had more success with the Austin Spurs last season, averaging 14.5 points and 4.9 assists against just 1.4 turnovers in 17 G League games. He shot 34 percent from beyond the arc.

Flagler helped Baylor win the 2021 NCAA championship before beginning his professional career. He spent parts of two seasons on a two-way contract with the Thunder, then joined the Spurs on an Exhibit 10 deal last fall before playing for Austin.

The Kings have not announced who will fill the newly opened spot.
