Sacramento hasn't made the playoffs since 2006, becoming the first team in NBA history to have a 16-season postseason drought. The Kings picked Murray in the hopes of snapping that streak, adding him to a roster with De'Aaron Fox and two-time All-Star center Domantas Sabonis.
The Kings finished the Summer League with a 3-2 record, and Murray sat out the team's final game against the Houston Rockets.
Murray averaged 23.5 points and 8.7 rebounds during his sophomore season at Iowa before forgoing his final two seasons to enter the 2022 NBA Draft.
