Kings Notes: Jones, Trades, Silva, Bagley, Haliburton

The Kings have signed Damian Jones to a multi-year deal, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

Jones, who was the No. 30 overall pick in the 2016 draft, had been with the franchise, playing six games during his two 10-day contracts in Sacramento. The former No. 30 overall pick is averaging 3.8 points in 15.5 minutes per contest.

Sacramento will also waive Chris Silva as part of their busy day.

The Kings could trade Marvin Bagley III during the offseason, James Ham of NBC Sports explains while adding that he doesn’t envision the former No. 2 overall pick landing an extension from Sacrament when he’s eligible this summer. Rival teams had inquired about Bagley prior to the trade deadline, though the Kings didn’t find an offer to their liking.
Tyrese Haliburton, who is filling in nicely as a starter while De’Aaron Fox is sidelined, has signed a shoe deal with Nike. “I’ve been wearing Nikes my whole life. So it’s really cool for me. Kind of like a dream come true, I’m excited about it,” the rookie said. “Like I said, it’s just really cool. I’ve been wearing them my whole life, so kind of cool they have faith in me and like me enough to make me a part of the brand.”
Haliburton dropped a couple of spots in the latest Rookie Ladder on NBA.com, going from two down to four. Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards currently has the top spot.
