Kings-Raptors Injury Report: Huerter, Quickley Status Revealed

The Sacramento Kings are headed north to take on the Toronto Raptors following an overtime win against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. Sacramento will be facing another team dealing with missing personnel, as the Raptors have listed six players that will be out for Wednesday night's matchup.

After a hard fought win against a scrappy 8-man Grizzlies squad, Mike Brown's crew will look to keep the winning ways going against a team sitting 22 games under .500.

Taking a look at the injury report, the Kings will be without one starter for Wednesday night.

In a rebuilding season for Toronto, the lone Canadian team in the NBA is looking forward to next season after trading away key pieces such as F Pascal Siakam earlier in the year. The team has suffered multiple season-ending injuries, including one to young All-Star Scottie Barnes in early March.

Aside from injuries, the Raptors will be without RJ Barrett as he continues to mourn the loss of his younger brother. Immanuel Quickley will also miss Wednesday night's matchup due to personal reasons.

For the Kings, the loss of Kevin Huerter is a tough one after the guard exited the court in the first quarter of Monday's win against Memphis. Reports currently say that Huerter suffered a dislocated shoulder after taking contact on a drive into the paint. Head coach Mike Brown said after the win that guard Keon Ellis will start in place of Huerter.

On the bench, Trey Lyles continues to miss time with an MCL sprain as he aims to return in a couple weeks. Fortunately for Sacramento, the 2023 EuroLeague MVP Sasha Vezenkov may be returning to the court after being sidelined for over a month with an ankle sprain. Vezenkov's three-point shot could be of use with Lyles continuing to miss time. 

The Kings will tip-off in Scotiabank Arena against the Raptors at 4:30 p.m. PT.
