The Sacramento Kings entered Monday night’s matchup against the Dallas Mavericks looking to extend their winning streak to four games, and that is exactly what they did.
Sacramento dominated against Dallas on Monday, picking up a 122-98 victory. This was a major win for the Kings who have now won four consecutive games and have climbed to eighth in the Western Conference standings.
Zach LaVine led the way for the Kings, scoring a game-high 22 points. DeMar DeRozan also had a great game, recording 20 points. Sacramento also saw their entire starting lineup score in double digits, leading to an easy victory over the Mavericks.
Of course, this was the third and final meeting between the Kings and Mavericks this season, and Sacramento sent a six-word message after sweeping the season series.
“Look at it… it’s so beautiful…,” the Kings posted on X after their victory over the Mavericks.

This was the third win of the season for the Kings over the Mavericks. Of course, this matchup was a major one for both teams as they entered the game with the same record, and the Kings were able to prevail and jump ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the standings while the Mavericks continue to hold onto the final Play-In spot.
While this was a great win for the Kings, especially with Domantas Sabonis being sidelined with a hamstring injury, they also faced off against a Mavericks team who were extremely shorthanded.
Dallas was without their entire frontcourt rotation, including Anthony Davis who remains sidelined due to injury. The Mavericks also saw Kyrie Irving and Jaden Hardy suffer injuries during the game, leaving them even more shorthanded.
Despite this, the Kings were able to take advantage of the Mavericks’ injury problems and pick up a much-needed win as they continue to try and climb the West standings ahead of the playoffs.
Sacramento will now look to push their winning streak to five games on Wednesday when they take on the Denver Nuggets on the road.
