Klay Thompson doesn’t dismiss possibility of Warriors reunion

Klay Thompson isn’t making any promises. But he isn’t ruling anything out, either.

While appearing at Fanatics Fest, the longtime Warriors star was approached by a fan who told him, “We miss you on the Warriors.”

Thompson’s response? “Never say never.”

The brief exchange, captured in a TikTok video and shared by Legion Hoops, immediately sparked speculation about whether Thompson could someday return to Golden State.

Fan: “We miss you on the Warriors.”

Klay Thompson: “Never say never.”

After spending his first 13 NBA seasons with the Warriors and helping lead the franchise to four championships, Thompson signed with the Mavericks in the summer of 2024. He’s now entering the final season of his three-year, $50 million contract, putting him on track to become a free agent again next offseason.

Of course, Thompson’s three-word response hardly guarantees anything. Still, it also didn’t sound like someone eager to slam the door on a return.

Whether that reunion ever materializes … well, it remains to be seen. But for at least one day, Thompson gave Warriors fans a reason to wonder.
