It will be an emotionally fueled night when Klay Thompson goes up against the Warriors this upcoming season. The new Mavericks wing has got himself a head start with a subtle dig at his former team.
On Sunday, Thompson shared an Instagram post highlighting a scene from the 2004 movie "You Got Served" in which a dancer betrays his team to join the rival. In the clip, Thompson is meant to be "Sonny," the dancer who bailed on his crew, and Stephen Curry and Draymond Green are members of his ex-crew who have a dance-off with the Mavs' new Big Three of Thompson, Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic.
Thompson captioned the video as "Sonny switched up quick!" to jokingly acknowledge his role as the defector.

While some labeled the Thompson-Warriors breakup as acrimonious, both parties have spoken about their reverence for each other over the past month.
Warriors governor Joe Lacob revealed the texts he exchanged with the veteran sharpshooter after he announced his decision to leave the Bay Area. Thompson, meanwhile, referred to his days in Golden State as "the best times of my life" in a social media post.
The Warriors are expected to honor Thompson with a tribute video when the future Hall of Famer returns to the Chase Center. The franchise has already retired the No. 11 jersey in his honor.
It'd be shocking to hear even one Warriors fan boo Thompson when he faces them as a Maverick. His situation doesn't compare to LeBron James' return to Cleveland in 2010 or Kevin Durant's return to Oklahoma City in 2016, both of which were met with boos due to events preceding the exits.
