The New York Knicks were unable to put away an inspired Boston team in Game 5 after the Celtics lost superstar forward Jayson Tatum to an Achilles injury in the fourth quarter of the previous contest.
That means a Game 6 at Madison Square Garden on Friday, May 16, in what will be the franchise's most consequential contest in more than a quarter century. In turn, that means ridiculous prices for any hardcore Knicks fans hoping to experience in-person a major moment in the team's recent history.
"The cheapest get-in price for Game 6 between the Knicks and Celtics at MSG is $855," the NBACentral X account posted Wednesday night, citing TickPick as the pricing source.

New York had a chance to close the Celtics out in Boston via a gentleman's sweep but ran into an unexpected buzzsaw in the form of the what might have legitimately been the best outing of center Luke Kornet's life.
Boston's backup big man played 26 minutes and shot 100% from the field (5-of-5), scoring 10 points complemented by nine rebounds and seven blocked shots. Kornet also tallied a steal and an assist on his way to a plus-20 tally in the plus-minus category on the night.
Derrick White added 34 points, while Jaylen Brown dropped in 26 points, as the Celtics connected on nearly 45% of their 3-point attempts (22-of-49) and won the game with ease, 127-102.
Wednesday night marked the first time in the series that Boston outscored New York in the fourth quarter, a feat aided by the fact that Jalen Brunson fouled out midway through the final stanza in a game the Knicks were already losing big by that point.
New York opened as a 2.5-point favorite to close out the series at MSG in Game 6 and move on to face the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.
