The New York Knicks extended their winning streak to seven games Tuesday night, holding off the New Orleans Pelicans 121–116 behind a clutch fourth quarter from Jalen Brunson.

Brunson finished with 32 points, pouring in 15 in the final period to seal it. With the game tight late, he scored 10 straight midway through the fourth, pushing New York back in control after New Orleans had trimmed the deficit to two.

Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby each added 21 points for the Knicks (48–25), with Towns also grabbing 14 rebounds. The win moves New York within striking distance of the Boston Celtics for second place in the Eastern Conference.

The Pelicans were led by Zion Williamson, who scored 22 points, while Jeremiah Fears added 21 in the loss as New Orleans dropped its second straight.

New York came out firing, hitting 15 of 21 shots in the first quarter and closing on a 15–0 run to take a 42–28 lead. The Pelicans responded with an 18–2 burst early in the second to briefly go in front, but the Knicks regrouped to carry a 66–60 edge into halftime.

The game remained tight throughout the second half before Brunson’s late takeover proved decisive.

Up next: the Knicks head to face the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday to begin a four-game road trip, while the Pelicans travel to take on the Detroit Pistons.
