Rosas began his career as an NBA executive with the Houston Rockets, holding the title of personnel scout/video coordinator from 2003 to 2006. The Bogota, Columbia native then served as Houston's executive vice president of basketball operations from 2006 to 2013, before becoming the Dallas Mavericks' general manager later in 2013.
After having disagreements with Mavericks management, Rosas left the organization after only three months and returned to the Rockets. He then resumed his role as executive vice president of basketball operations from 2013 to 2019.
Rosas was hired by the Wolves in May 2019 but was relieved of his duties after 28 months due to an inappropriate workplace relationship and contributing to a general toxic culture within the organization.
