The New York Knicks defeated the Indiana Pacers 106-100 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
They won their first game of the series mainly due to strong performances from centers Karl Anthony-Towns and Mitchell Robinson during the fourth quarter. Towns had 24 points and scored 20 during the final quarter, along with 15 rebounds, while Robinson, who was moved into the starting lineup before Sunday’s game in place of Josh Hart, had six points and six rebounds.
Even though Robinson’s performance may not have looked too impressive on the stat sheet, he made up for it by playing tight defense multiple times throughout the game. During a postgame interview with The Athletic’s senior NBA writer Fred Katz, forward OG Anunoby showed his appreciation for Robinson.
“What [Mitchell Robinson] does is special,” the 27-year-old said. “I don’t think there’s anyone in the league doing what he does.”
OG Anunoby on Mitchell Robinson: "What Mitch does is special. I don’t think there’s anyone in the league doing what he does. Quick feet, quick hands, anticipation on the perimeter at seven feet. Yeah, he’s one of one. It’s unreal to watch."

Robinson, 27, displayed excellent leadership and footwork by playing tight defense throughout the contest on Pacers forward Pascal Siakam and center Myles Turner to prevent them from creating open shots like they did in Game 2.
“Quick feet and hands, anticipation on the perimeter at seven feet [tall],” Anunoby said. “Yeah, he’s one of one. It’s unreal to watch.”
As Robinson impressed his teammate on the defensive end, Anunoby scored 16 points and made four three-pointers by the end of Game 3. He also displayed his defensive prowess by ending the night with three blocks and a steal.
Watch game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals at 8 p.m. on TNT on Tuesday to see if Robinson and Anunoby's strong performances against Indiana will continue.
