New York Knicks guard Landry Shamet left Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic with an apparent shoulder injury.
The injury occurred with less than three minutes gone by in the opening period: Shamet was guarding Jalen Suggs before making contact with Wendell Carter Jr., who was attempting to set a pick.
Landry Shamet looks like he just dislocated his shoulder.

Shamet, who was charged with a foul on the play, came up holding his right shoulder, the same one that he injured during the 2024 preseason. He painfully walked off the floor and was immediately attended to by Knicks trainers, who escorted him to the visitors’ locker room at the Kia Center.
Following his departure, Shamet was relieved in the Knicks lineup by Josh Hart. Shamet had two assists before the incident, helping the Knicks build an early lead in their second showdown with Orlando.
Having beaten the pressure of the Knicks’ final roster cuts, Shamet has been key for Manhattan in his second season of metropolitan service: he put up 36 points off the bench in last Friday night’s win over Miami, and he hit consecutive clutch triples to help the Knicks escape from Dallas with a win in their last game on Wednesday.
Shamet was making his second consecutive start in place of OG Anunoby, who is dealing with a hamstring strain.
