Knicks Send 1-Word Jalen Brunson Message Following Historic Game 2 Win
USA TODAY Sports

Jalen Brunson is the heartbeat of the New York Knicks. While the Knicks have many talented players on their roster, from Karl Anthony-Towns to OG Anunoby to Mikal Bridges, "Mr. Clutch" himself continues to put his team on his back when it matters most.

Brunson has scored the most points of any player (so far) in the 2025 NBA playoffs. He's also scored the most points in the fourth quarter in this year's playoffs.

And the Knicks now hold a commanding 2-0 lead in the series, behind Brunson's 29 and 17-point performances. While Brunson didn't light up the box score in Game 2, he made a clutch jump shot in the waning minutes as well as the go-ahead free throws with 12.1 seconds remaining.

Following yet another clutch performance by Brunson, the Knicks sent a one-word message immediately following their Game 2, 91-90 win in Boston.

"HIM," the post reads on the Knicks official X account.

One word is all it took for the Knicks to describe their All-Star point guard.

On Wednesday night, the Knicks made NBA history. They became the first team in NBA history to win consecutive playoff games after trailing by 20 or more points.

The Knicks will now carry their 2-0 lead back to New York where Game 3 will take place inside Madison Square Garden. Game 3 will tip-off on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.

Brunson will look to add to his lead in playoff and fourth quarter scoring in their next game.

If the Knicks can take care of business, at home, they'll make it back to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since the 1999-00 season.
