The New York Knicks are signing free agent forward Tosan Evbuomwan, the pro’s GSL Sports Group agent George S. Langberg has informed Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Evbuomwan had been on a two-way deal with the Brooklyn Nets in 2024-25. Brooklyn waived the 6-foot-8 British combo forward in August.

After going undrafted out of Princeton in 2023, the former Ivy League Player of the Year linked up with the Pistons’ G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, to start his pro career. He next joined the Grizzlies on a 10-day deal thanks to his robust output for Motor City. He next joined Detroit on a 10-day deal, later agreeing to a two-way contract. He started 2024-25 with the Clippers’ NBAGL club, the San Diego Clippers, before inking a two-way deal with Brooklyn in January.

In 28 games with Brooklyn proper last year, the 24-year-old averaged a career-best 9.5 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 2.0 APG and 0.9 SPG. He notched a slash line of .427/.312/.753. Across 13 contests with the Nets’ G League squad, the Long Island Nets, he averaged 19.2 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 3.6 APG, 0.9 SPG and 0.6 BPG.

The nature of the contract hasn’t been divulged, but it’s likely to be a training camp deal. New York has no one inked to a two-way deal yet, although a two-way qualifying offer has been extended to forward Kevin McCullar Jr. He’ll likely be competing with training camp signing Dink Pate. Rookie second-rounder Mohamed Diawara is expected to level up and agree to a standard deal, skirting a two-way contract.
