Knicks Star Reacts to Kawhi Leonard Dominating Them
© Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has been on another level his last 10 games, averaging just below 30 PPG on a ridiculous 59.1% from the field and 57.4% from deep. Continuing his dominance on Saturday night against the New York Knicks, Leonard finished with 36 points on 12/16 from the field, leading LA to their 7th straight win.

When asked about Leonard after the game, Knicks star Julius Randle said, "He got to his spots and made shots. I was trying my best to be physical with him and give it to him, but you know he made great shots."

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau also spoke on Leonard and the Clippers, saying, "We needed great energy in this game. They’re playing great right now, and they’re great players. You got to sometimes - you can guard them well, and they can make shots, but you can’t allow that to get you frustrated. I think they had 30 free throws at the half, and then at the end of the game it’s evened out. So when you look at that, you can’t let that get you off of what you need to do."

What Thibodeau said has really been the story of this stretch for Leonard. While he is certainly getting clean looks as a result of James Harden's playmaking, Leonard is also making some really difficult shots over tough defenders.
