The NBA postseason just got a lot more interesting. When the New York Knicks were pitted against the Atlanta Hawks, it appeared as if the Knicks would have an easy victory. However, with personalities like Shaquille O’Neal questioning New York’s chances, the inconsistency was on full display in Game 2 of the first round of the playoffs.
Coming to game 2, the Hawks stunned New York fans as they took home the victory by a solitary point. Having won 107-106, the heavy lifting was done by CJ McCollum. Logging in for 35 minutes, McCollum dropped 32 points in no time to take his team home. Such a victory would surely bolster Atlanta’s chances significantly.
On the contrary, the Knicks find themselves in utter discomfort. Just the other day, New York fans were celebrating wildly at Madison Square Garden. But as the likes of Karl-Anthony Towns and others had an off-day, game 3 now becomes a do-or-die affair for the team. After all, leading the playoffs 1-0, the Knicks would not like to trail 2-1. Thus, with a lot on the line, fans will be eager to see whether New York can script a strong comeback.
