After reporting earlier today that the Knicks are waiving injured center Drew Eubanks, Shams Charania of ESPN ( Twitter link ) confirms that the team has also decided to cut big man Tony Bradley and wing Ochai Agbaji.

Ian Begley of SNY.tv (Twitter link) first reported that Bradley was being waived, while Stefan Bondy of The New York Post (Twitter link) was first to the Agbaji news.

Eubanks, Bradley, and Agbaji were three of the five veterans who were in camp with the Knicks on non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 contracts and were competing for a spot on the team’s regular season roster. The only two of those camp invitees still in the mix are center James Wiseman and swingman Bruce Brown.

Although the Knicks technically have two open spots on their standard 15-man roster, keeping both Wiseman and Brown would require the team to either surpass the second tax apron or trade another player in order to stay below that threshold. If New York doesn’t make a trade and team owner James Dolan remains unwilling to even temporarily go into second-apron territory, one of those players will have to be waived before Monday’s roster cutdown deadline.

Reporting this fall has indicated that the Knicks will likely prioritize keeping a center to back up Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond. If that’s still the plan, Wiseman would have the edge on Brown for the 14th roster spot.

Bradley, the 28th overall pick in the 2017 draft, has made 234 regular season appearances over the course of eight NBA seasons, including 41 in 2025/26 for Indiana and Atlanta. He holds career averages of 4.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per contest and recorded 5.3 PPG and 1.7 RPG in 7.5 MPG in three preseason games for the Knicks this month.

Agbaji, a lottery pick in 2022, played for the Jazz, Raptors, and Nets over the course of his four-year rookie scale contract. The 6’5″ wing had a promising season in Toronto in 2024/25, averaging 10.4 PPG and 3.8 RPG on .498/.399/.708 shooting, but saw his playing time and production fall off last season and was traded to Brooklyn in a deadline deal. Although he was eligible for restricted free agency this summer, he didn’t receive a qualifying offer from the Nets.

Both Bradley and Agbaji could have their non-guaranteed minimum-salary contracts claimed by any team with room on its 21-man roster. If they clear waivers, they’ll become unrestricted free agents.
